Contrary to some reports in the local media, East Surrey MP Peter Ainsworth will not be singing at the East Grinstead Choral Society’s Christmas Concert on December 15th
Peter will be acting as narrator in a performance of “Christmas is Coming” in a concert at Sackville School packed with great Christmas music.
Peter Ainsworth comments:
“I am delighted to have been asked to perform as narrator at what promises to be a fantastic musical celebration of Christmas. But I keep my singing for the bath. I do hope that nobody has been put off by the advance publicity. The East Grinstead Choral Society is one of the best music groups in the South East and I look forward to joining them in a strictly speaking role.

Peter Ainsworth is Chairman of the Elgar Foundation and has previously performed with East Grinstead Choral Society in works by Howard Blake and John Rutter. He has also performed as narrator in works by Bliss, Walton and Honnegger in performances in Cheltenham and Tonbridge.

The concert starts at 7.30 prompt and finishes about 9.30
