East Surrey MP, Peter Ainsworth, is to take part in a monthly ‘Westminster Report’ feature on local internet radio station Tandridge Radio.

Tandridge Radio is a weekly podcast covering news, reviews and events from right across the District. Mr Ainsworth’s first feature will appear on Sunday 24 th May, and sees him reflecting on the local implications of the MPs’ expenses crisis and what it feels like to work in Westminster at a time of such public anger. He also touches on the type of constituency problems which he tries to help local people overcome.

The feature will then appear every last Sunday of the month thereafter, with Mr Ainsworth covering a mixture of both local and national issues.

Mr Ainsworth said:

“In my role as Member of Parliament it is important that I keep in touch with residents in as many ways as possible and the podcast is a fantastic new way of doing just that. It is, however certainly not a one way process; I would be delighted to hear any feedback from listeners on the issues I will be raising or ideas on what I should discuss in future episodes.

“I understand that at the moment Tandridge Radio is listened to by people from as many as 15 different countries, giving Tandridge the global recognition it deserves! I am delighted to be part of this exciting new venture.”
